Da Vinci The Genius 2009 Exhibition

sooooo.. since SPM is getting nearer and nearer,i cant help myself but feel nervous but at the same time giddy-ish.Nervous obviously because i'm going to sit for the most important exam in my life but, giddy because i want to do SO many things after SPM.Driving lessons,play A LOT of video games,Music class,Photography class perharps,computer games,SLEEPOVER ;],movie marathon, and a whole lot more.

one thing for sure,i want and WILL go to the da vinci exhibition at the National Science Center. =] i admit,i don't know ALL about leonardo ,but hey, im just a teenager and this is a good way to get to know him a lot better.He does seem like a pretty 'interesting' dude. *wink*wink*

It started on the 1st of October 2009 and i think ends on the 17th of January.Can't be sure of the exact date because the commercial was so fast. XP

Here are the admission charges:

Adult: RM25,
Children: RM20,
Family (2 Adults + 2 Children): RM70,
Senior Citizen (55 & Above): RM13

The tickets can be bought at the entrance of the National Science Center fyi.

I doubt the paintings (Mona Lisa,the last supper,Adoration of the Magi,.....) are going to be the real thing.because that requires a VERY tight security.. =/
but its going to be awsome nevertheless. =]

hope everyone is going to this exhibition!Malaysia is the ONLY country in Asia to be selected for this exhibition,so don't take that for granted !

The Happy List

so i was checking out my subscriptions videos on youtube and kimlovestheinternet just made a new vid.well,not really new new but the newest form her.Its about how she went to the thrift store and found this amazing book which tells about how this girl started to write a list of things that makes her happy and basically,the book is just like a list of random random things of what makes her (the girl in the book) ,happy.and in the video, kim challenged everyone to do the same.Write a list of things that make US happy.and you know what?i will give it a go.i will write a list of things that makes me happy,no matter how small the thing is or how random it is and i will just go on and on and on until im old.(till im dead hopefully ^.^ )

i just think that this is a very positive thing to do and i feel that you'll appreciate more of the things that make you happy.i just think its a good idea and everyone should also make a list of things that make you all happy. =]

Trial Exam

sigh...so my SPM trial exam is going to be on 2nd of september until the 30th of september (yup,almost 1 month T-T) and the first paper is going to be physics.

joy...-_-

so right now i better study my ass off if i want to get good results and prevent my parents from nagging me,not that they do that much.but they WILL if i get crappy results.i mean whose parents wouldnt right?

and so the REAL SPM would be on the 18th of november,so that leaves me a lil more than 1 month to prepare for 'the big day'.im feeling like im going to hyperventilate any time nowwwww.but on the bright side, the real SPM will end on the 9th of december.and after that im FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!EEEEEEEEEE!!! im free i tell you!!!

my goodness,i cant even think about what im going to do after spm without grinning and lost into oblivion for a moment. (*.*)

hmm..maybe i'll do a 'things to do after spm' list later on. eheh.. =P

i'll surely miss my classmates =]

She was such a talented woman and she is my favourite local filmaker.To be honest,she may be the only one.Her ads and movies never fail to touch people's heart.I am sad that she is no longer with us.I really think that she is one of the reasons why i am interested with ads, and plus, I really believe that she can bring our media indusrty forward.Her ads,especially,are amazing.One of the things that I always look forward on Hari Raya or Deepavali or Chinese New Year is the advertisements.Petronas's to be exact,since Yasmin is always the one who directs Petronas's ads.Now that she's gone,I wonder if there will be any other ads like these. =[ .She will be missed.Al-Fatihah

TPR is a band and they are freaking good!When i heard that Taylor Momsen has a band,I was kind of "oh here we go again..an actress turn rockstar wannabe".But when i for real heard the band,i just gotta say, they're really really good.Taylor got this raspy deep voice that is different from any other teenage singers and she's good live.maybe even better than the studio version.Their album is said to be out in August and i'll most probably buy it.

Cant say how excited i am for this movie to come out next year.Tim Burton is a genius of course.Some of his work that i just love are Batman Returns,Edward Scissorhands,Sleepy Hollow,Planet of The apes,Charlie and The Chocolate Factory,Corpse Bride,Sweeny Todd and hopefully this movie. =D

(Did you notice that among all the movies i've listed,Johnny Depp is in 6 of them?not that im complaining.. ;] )

i pretty much am happy with the casts.They really chose the right Alice in my opinion..

As you can probably see from the poster,it is due in march 2010.so....i guess i just have to be a lil more patient.eheh =]

Post Secret

This week's secret:

ice age 3 and topshop

Its already 1 in the morning,so my brain is already half asleep.cant really give a good review of the movie but im going to do it anywayyy =]


its pretty cool i guess.theres quite a lot of scenes that made me laugh out loud and very few corny scenes.so thats a good thing.This cant beat finding nemo or wall-e or monster inc though which in my opinion are few of the best animation.


You wont be feeling like you want to send a complaint note saying the movie sucks but you wont want to send a thank you note either.so the movie,i think, is a so-so.but i have to agree it is the best of the three.but then,maybe im a little biased because i havent seen the last two recently.so maybe i have to watch them again just to be sure.


im sorry if im boring you with my indecisiveness. lol..


I didnt have the time to go looking for plain tshirts though..=[ because by the time the movie finished,almost all of the store is already closed or closing up.BUT..on the way back,we have to pass topshop and i saw this really gorgeous heels that i just have to buy.so,im going back to the mall tomorrow to go and check it out.i just hope my size is still available.. >.<

Ice Age:Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Im going to watch ice age 3 tonight!Lots of people had said that it is the best of the three,so im kinda psyched to see it.am getting ready right now.im also going to find some plain coloured tshirts at the mall.I had found/bought some fabric paint which im dying to try!!if I did found some tshirts,I most probably am going to do some painting tonight,if im not too tired or anything.I do have a headache right now.I just hope the paracetemol do some good.. =[

Anyway....i'll post my review of the movie if im not too busy with schoolwork or the tshirt thingy..=]

science and mathematics to be changed to bahasa melayu in 2012

This is so full of bullshit!!!!

I was..slash that, I AM so pissed off with this issue.why would they change it back to bahasa?!!!???I know I wont be directly affected by this change since Im going to be out of highschool by then but that doesnt mean I dont have a say to this right?

They main reason to this stupid change is that many rural students couldnt keep up with the studies because they couldnt understand the lesson since it is in english.Well, I guess you have to study HARDER !!!sheeesshhhh...its not like us urban kids are proficient with english the second we pop out of our mother's womb now do we?We have to learn english too!Rural kids couldnt keep up with the studies is a lame and feeble excuse to change sc n math to bahasa.

the pros and cons of teaching science and mathematics in english:-
Pros:

-students can converse/discuss related matter with people out of the country.The students are more comprehensive basically.(or is global the more suitable word??)

-students can be more 'prepared' because they are going to learn sc n math in english in the university anyway (for only some of the university though,but still..)

-students have to be good in english to understand the subjects,so the students will learn harder/try harder and practice more to improve their english in intention to be good with their sc & math subjects.but,improve their english generally in the way.

-If the students went overseas to further their studies/they get an offer to overseas college/Uni, they would already know the science & mathematics terms (or whatever) in english which mean,they dont have to take special classes that teaches em in english first before they can actually go to the university which saves a lot of time which mean you can graduate earlier..which which which..lol (^.^)

CONS:
-rural students cant "cope" (rolls eyes)

and why did the government so easily decided to change this?(ok,maybe not easily,i know there must be a lot of consideration and shizz going on at the time,but still..)Havent they spend ALOT for the textbooks,the courses the teachers had to take and so on?to change the textbooks to bahasa,to make up more courses for the teachers and blablabla requires MORE money.I guess the government just have too much money that they dont know what to do with them. :/

Cameron Highland

so my parents are planning to go to cameron highland next week,and to be honest,im not really psyched about it.=[

From what i've heard, there is going to be strawberry farm,tea plantation , flowers & vegies farm,and butterfly field right?

well these are why i dont think im going to enjoy the so called short vacation:

-first of all,i dont really like strawberries.i dont hate them,but im not crazy about em either.

-tea plantation,what so great about em?I dont even drink tea.

-and the flowers, sigh.. i dont think they have any tulips nor lilies right?

-and......butterflies are scary.

i dont want to be a pessimist,but frankly,there just arent anything that im looking forward to see IF we go there.But if any of you have been there and think that its great or whatever,im all ears.=]

DIY tshirt printing

So my sister just came back from the Philipphines and she bought this really cool thing. =p. Its Pentel fabric fun,pastel dye sticks.It looks like regular crayon,but it has dyeing properties.So basically,you can draw any designs on any fabric (plain tshirts for me!) and if you don't like the design you had made on the fabric,you can just wash it away with water & and soap,but if you LIKE the design you had made on the fabric,you can iron it and alakazam!,its permanent and washable.

I have been looking for fabric dye for quite some time (though i actually didnt really search high and low for it ) and am kinda glad when I found out that my sister bought this for me.I never thought it can exist in sticks form though.I always thought it would be,you know, in liquid form.

Since i found a plain white tshirt,i decided to give the dye sticks a try.As I said,they are in stick form and they have that crayon-feel to it,which means the colour is so easy to rub to your fingers (sigh..).The result was expected,i mean i didnt expect any better for this kiddy looking thing but i was kinda hoping when it is ironed,the design would look more um..or should i say LESS homemade-looking,but hey,you get what you get.=]
